Negin Zendegani (b. 1967, Abadan, Iran) is a portrait and documentary photographer. She uses photography as a voice, when emotions cannot be described by language.
Negin studied cultural social formation and later arts and photography at Hogeschool Artez. Photography became her way of communicating, the medium to tell her story without words. ''I discovered that each photograph was a chapter, each image capturing an emotion that could not be described with language.''
Negin: ''My motivation is the desire to tell the stories that are often overlooked, the stories of lost dreams and regained hope. With my photographs I want to give a voice to those whose stories are rarely heard, those whose emotions hide in the shadows of daily life.''
Negin exhibited at Museum Arnhem and the Coda Museum. De Volkskrant, Trouw and the VPROgids, among others, published her work.
