Dutch photographer Daniel Cohen (1979) studied photography for one year at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague before dropping out. Self-taught and independent, Cohen enjoys meeting people and creating genuine portraits by cooperating with them closely. His work is in colour because he sees life in colour.
Daniel lives in and works from Amsterdam, shooting for leading Dutch newspapers, magazines and cultural companies.
Among some of the wonderful personalities that posed for Daniel are Ennio Morricone, Ai Weiwei, Cliff Richard, Anish Kapoor, Erwin Olaf, Nile Rodgers, Junkie XL, Michael Palin, Boris Mikhailov and Kendrick Lamar.
Next to his commissioned photography Cohen continues working on several independent projects, like We Want More, My name is Cohen, Being Hans Teeuwen, Ode to nature and Slowtime.
